Pittsboro Baptist Preschool began in September of 2001 as a Mothers Morning Out program with 17 children and now has grown to serve more than 120 children. We seek to support the home and extend the ministry of the church by providing biblically based, age-appropriate education for preschoolers that addresses their development cognitively, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
Pittsboro Baptist Preschool prepares children for future learning and success. Our Christian based curriculum is used to guide children through their daily activities.
Meet our staff:
Jennifer Cashion Preschool Minister Jennifer@pittsborobaptistpreschool.org Hello! I am blessed to be the Preschool Director of an amazing preschool. Prior to coming to Pittsboro Baptist Preschool, I worked in clinical research for 13 years. Although I enjoyed what I did, I have an unexplainable peace with the direction my life took and I’m thankful for the doors the Lord opened for me at the preschool and Pittsboro Baptist Church as the Children’s Minister. My husband, Matt, and I love living in Pittsboro and have 3 amazing children. Matthew 19:14 says: Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” I love being part of a ministry at PBP that shares the love of Christ with every child and family that walks through the door. For me it’s more than a job. It’s a privilege the Lord has put me in this place at this time. |

Lead Teacher in the Penguins I consider it a great privilege to spend mornings with my preschool class and have been doing so since 2010. Three of my 5 kids went to school here and, although my youngest is now in High school, I decided I like it too much to leave. My husband Chris and I moved our family to North Carolina from Texas in 2007. We miss the Lone Star State and our family there (and TexMex and beef BBQ), but we feel blessed to be raising our family in Chatham County and love what the Lord has done for us here. |

Assistant Teacher in the Pandas – (T/Th) I am joining the Pittsboro Baptist Preschool team this year after working in the marketing and communications field for nearly 20 years. I am a Chatham County native, growing up just down the road in Siler City, and my husband and I moved back to the Pittsboro area nearly 10 years ago to raise our family. We have three children – two boys ages 14 and 9, and a 2-year-old daughter. We spend much of our time at sporting events for our boys (mostly baseball!) and try to squeeze in trips to the lake and beach when we can as being near the water is our happy place! I am very excited and thankful for the path God has led me down to work at PBP. This preschool and its amazing teachers have been a blessing to my daughter and family, and I hope to be the same for the children I have the opportunity to work with this year! |
